This event will be held Saturday, October 28, 2006 at 9:00 am at Poe Stock Farms in Franklin, Indiana in Johnson County.

Instructors for this hands-on event will be Matt Kennedy of Shirley, Indiana and Fred Lloyd of Covington, IN. The class will begin with a demonstration and then registrants will be supervised by the instructors as they shear sheep provided by Stanley Poe II. Shearing equipment will be provided to registrants, or they may bring their own to use.

This school will get you started toward shearing your own sheep or start your own shearing business. Sheep producers are in great need of shearers in Indiana. Professional shearing can be a very profitable business with shearers earning $50 and more per hour!
